Hi! Just doing a newbie post :)

My name's Kayla, I'm 18 years old, and I was born into Unity. I just got back from the NW region Y.O.U. retreat, where I aged out :'( Suddenly, I thought "Wait, there HAVE to be Unity communities on livejournal!" Sure enough, there are :) That made me extremely happy, as I've been feeling kind of down ever since I left camp yesterday afternoon.

With NGU, I'm really hoping to get some of the same feelings of connectedness that I had in YOU, as well as keep up on my spirituality. Also, it'd be nice to "re-meet" some of my old YOU friends who have moved on, or who will.

I had a question, as well. I live about 45 minutes away from my "home church," and there's no church in the town I'm in right now (Moscow, ID). As a result, I can't get to church very often. Is there such a thing as an NGU chapter that isn't affiliated with a specific church? Does NGU even work through chapters, or is it a different organization system? Any clarification would be greatly appreciated, I'm sure if I started an NGU it would go over well (liberal college towns and all), but we probably wouldn't be able to be very connected to the Lewiston Unity (if at all).

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me :)
